Biography:
Casey Dana enters his first season with the ThunderBolts and third as a professional in 2024. He signed as a free agent on April 10, 2024 after playing his first two pro campaigns in the Los Angeles Angels organization. He was a 16th round selection of the Angels in the 2022 amateur entry draft. In 84 career games, he was a .166 hitter with a .236 on-base percentage and four home runs. He peaked in High-A Tri-City, where he played 82 of his 84 games.
Casey was a five-year collegiate player, all in the Big East. He began his college career at Seton Hall, where he spent four seasons. As a Pirate, he hit .265 with 24 homers over 156 career games. He was named Second Team All-Big East as a senior in 2021, when he batted .306 with 19 extra base hits and 36 RBIs in 45 games. In his final year of school, he transferred to UConn, where he was again a Second Team All-Big East performer. He hit .313 and had 35 extra base hits, including 12 homers. He finished third in the conference with 61 RBIs and also scored 57 times. Casey attended Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey. |
