Biography:

Tyler Johnson is in his first season with the ThunderBolts and second as a pro in 2024. He signed as a free agent on Jaunary 8, 2024 after splitting his rookie campaign between two teams in the Pioneer League. In 2023, he went a combined 3-3 with a 9.35 ERA in 27 games with Northern Colorado and Grand Junction. He struck out 47 batters in 43.1 innings.

Johnson played collegiately at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, New York and went 3-3 with a 6.69 ERA in 11 games over two years for the Lakers. He also spent two years in the New York Collegiate League and one in the MLB Draft League. He attended Churchville-Chili Senior High School in Churchville, New York.
