Biography:
Michael Vochelli begins his first year with the ThunderBolts and second as a pro in 2024. He signed as a free agent on February 13, 2024. As a rookie in 2023, he played for the Maryville Drakes of the Pecos League and pitched in 12 games (11 starts). He went 4-3 with a 5.43 ERA and 63 strikeouts in 58 innings. He also hit .257 over 35 at bats with two home runs and seven RBIs.
Collegiately, Vochelli pitched at the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Over three years, he went 6-4 with a 6.82 ERA in 34 games (nine starts). All six of his wins came in his senior season in 2021. As a freshman, he appeared in one game at Santa Rosa Junior College and allowed one run over two innings. Prior to that, he attended Tesoro High School in Las Flores, California. |
