After the game Pro Wrestling Blitz will perform an all-ages 1-hour wrestling show behind home plate on the concourse. As an added bonus, a living legend or WWE/TNA star will make an appearance at each of the Thursday night games. In addition to wrestling, it is also Bud Light Thirsty Thursday with $1.50 drafts all game long. Scheduled to appear on the following dates are: May 25th: 2-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes will wrestle against Grand Slam TNA Champion Abyss June 15th: WWE Hall of Famer "Mean Gene" Okerlund June 29th: WWE Grand Slam Champion & Hall of Famer Booker T August 3rd: 6-Time WWE Hardcore Champion Al Snow August 17th: WWE Hall of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat August 24th: Star's of Tomorrow - Indy Wrestling Showcase from Lucha Underground & Ring of Honor (guests to be determined) Some of the former stars will get in the ring and lace up the boots for a match, while all of the wrestlers will be available for autographs and photos during the game. Fans can get their stake-less tents and head to the outfield where they can run around the field and enjoy the ballpark. A late night movie will be shown, snacks and refreshments will be handed out, and everyone can sleep under the stars on the field! In the morning, a light breakfast will be served to all campers before leaving. During the game is our brand new Budweiser $3-U-Call-It Fridays where any beer or well mixed-drink in the stadium is $3. Various superheroes including CAPTAIN AMERICA, SUPERMAN, SPIDERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, & SUPERGIRL will be meeting their fans and being on the lookout for the best costumes in the ballpark. Each Superhero will pick one costumed fan, and the finalist will head to the field where fans will decide who has the best costume in the stadium! This night will include a pre-game costume parade, your favorite princesses throwing out a ceremonial first pitch, meet and greets, princess sing-a-long on our videoboard, lots of your favorite Disney music and a post-game fireworks show! The ThunderBolts will also be wearing special jerseys this game sponsored by Illinois Operation Lifesaver. Scheduled to appear is CN's "Little Obie" offering free train rides for the kids! These jerseys will be auctioned off and proceeds will go to promote railroad safety in Illinois. The first 500 fans 21-years of age and older with receive both a Pint Glass from Lakeshore Beverage! Effective immediately, the Replay America Tour shows scheduled at Minor League Baseball Stadiums including the show scheduled here at Standard Bank Stadium have been canceled. Poor ticket sales across the entire Ballpark concert tour, was the determining reason for the cancellation. These shows featuring Billy Ocean, Taylor Dayne, Starship, the Motels and the Greg Kihn Band were anticipated to bring thousands of people out to a ballpark environment for the enjoyment of throwback music favorites from the 1980's but just didn't generate the interest needed to support the costs.
Full ticket refunds will be issued to those who purchased them. Refunds for payments made online will be made automatically and tickets bought by call-in-order will be refunded by method of payment. Groupon purchases will automatically be refunded to purchasers. (Refunds may take one to two weeks) Any questions should be directed to Blue Cap Entertainment at (877) 987-6487. |
