FLORENCE, KY – The ThunderBolts’ bats broke out in game two of a doubleheader Wednesday night in Florence as they jumped out to an 11-0 lead on their way to an 11-4 win over the Florence Freedom. Florence took the opener 8-2.

The Freedom (13-9) started game one with an RBI double from Luis Pintor in the first inning and an RBI single from Isaac Benard in the second to make it 2-0.

Randy Perez hit a two-run homer in the second inning of game two, the first of his career, to give the ThunderBolts a 2-0 lead. Tyler Straub and Dash Winningham followed up with RBI singles to make it 5-0.

The Bolts scored two runs apiece in the next three innings with a two-run home run for Patrick Mathis, a Winningham RBI double and Brynn Martinez RBI hit highlighting the action. Seven different ThunderBolts finished the game with multiple hits.
