CRESTWOOD -- For the second night in a row, the Windy City ThunderBolts (36-31) walked off with a win against the Washington Wild Things (35-32) as the 'Bolts won 8-7 in 11 innings on Sunday night at Standard Bank Stadium.

Justin Tellam was the hero for Windy City, hitting the game-tying and game-winning hits for the ThunderBolts. Tellam came off the bench to hit for the designated hitter Brett Amyx in the eighth inning. Tellam got a base hit in the eighth and then delivered the game-tying hit in the bottom of the ninth to score Mike Sullivan. Tellam came up again in the eleventh and won the game with a deep drive to left center field with the bases loaded and one out to score Gilberto Mejia.

Mejia led off the eleventh with a triple down the left-field line that rattled around in the corner before Wild Things left fielder could get to it. Washington then intentionally loaded the bases to pitch to Phil Hawke who struck out before Tellam came through with his third hit of the game.

The game was sent into extra innings thanks to another wild ninth inning. A day after scoring five runs in the ninth inning to beat Washington 5-4, the 'Bolts scored three times in the ninth to tie the game at 7-7. Sullivan, Wes Long, and Tellam delivered the RBI for Windy City in the inning.

Matt Petty (3-4) earned his second win in as many days pitching scoreless tenth and eleventh innings. He struck out two batters while allowing one walk in relief. The Windy City bullpen retired 13 batters in a row before Petty allowed a walk in the eleventh.

Sam Mann (2-3) got tagged with the loss going 2.0 innings allowing one run on three hits while striking out two.
