Biography:
Matt Costello begins his second season with the ThunderBolts in 2012. He was signed on February 18, 2011. In his first campaign with Windy City, Costello started nine games and pitched in 24 as a reliever, compiling a 1.78 ERA out of the bullpen. Matt came to the Bolts from the Milwaukee Brewers organization, which made him a 35th round pick in the 2009 amateur entry draft. Matt played collegiately at Valdosta State. As a senior in 2009, he went 9-3 with a 3.67 ERA. Prior to college, he attended Barnstable High School in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
